Intel launched Xeon 7400 series Microprocessor developed in India

Intel has launched the first microprocessor Code-named ‘Dunnington’, that has been almost completely developed in India at its Bangalore design center. The world’s leading computer chip making company Intel launched new Xeon 7400 series microprocessor is developed for businesses that want to boost server performance while conserving on space and energy. The chip uses less electricity and is as much as 48 per cent faster than previous models, This is a great invention in the field of computer hardware research and development scene in India. Intel’s Xeon 7400 series microprocessor  Contains 1.9 billion transistors with 16 MB shared L3 cache and it is based on the latest 45 NM High-K fabrication process. testing of this chip is done by Intel’s Bangalore laboratories to make sure that it is compatible with most of the existing. Dell Inc, Hewlett-Packard Co, International Business Machines Corp and Sun Microsystems Inc will start selling computers that use the Xeon 7400 chips this week.
