How far can you go to quench your thirst ? Probably not much far as the people of Oman. The amount of rainfall hereĀ in a decade is equal to 1 month rain in New York..!! But this has not shaken the people of Oman.
Oman has the world’s most amazing water water irrigation and supply system that has been there for almost 500 years or so.These water channels called Falaj have been a savior for the people of Oman ever scince there construction and still are.

If each of the three billion people globally owning mobiles brought back just one unused device we could save 240,000 tonnes of raw materials and reduce greenhouse gases to the same effect as taking 4 million cars off the road.
